I think I know the answer to this question ... but want to check with the AR gurus here before I proceed.
I just received a Magpul MOE handguard for my M4orgery. Am I correct in thinking that the way to remove the current guard is to simply pull the ring at the rear of the guard (closest to receiver, shaped sort of "flared" or bell-like) back, and the current guard simply comes off in two pieces, an upper and lower, and then the new one is replaced in reverse order?
I do have the tool (never used) that had the tongue that fits into the magwell and has a bar that goes on each side of this cap to pull back; I understand this tool simplifies the process.
What I am most concerned with is there a step I am missing? I note this endcap has a "C" clamp around it ... must this device be removed?
Thanks for your help.
