I have an M1 Carbine 15 round magazine marked J.L.Clark, C upside down T 'dash' - B, with a type l one base. It’s not a polished/shiny blue, but rather a flat grayish/black. Kind of like a 'light' parkerized finish on both the body and matching base. Can't seem to find any information on this one with a type 1 base and finish? Anyone have any ideas or comments.

Usually USGI 15 round carbine mags were bright blue or parkerized.

I don't know if it's the same company, but J.L. Clark is in business in Rockford, Illinois, and makes stamped steel containers.

J.L. Clark was a USGI carbine magazine supplier to IBM and Quality Hardware during the war.
With different markings they made mags for Rock-Ola, Saginaw Steering Gear, and Standard Products.
The IBM mark looked like a "C" with an upside down "T" dash "B".
On the Quality Hardware mags the same stamp is sideways.

My info says the Quality Hardware had Type Five bases the IBM Type One.
