I just picked up a Kimber Pro Carry II in .45. It only came with one magazine, but I need several. Will any 1911 magazine work with this? Or am I forced to buy expensive magazines from Kimber?

Any 1911 mag should fit.

True... but if it's a carry gun don't buy the cheapest magazine... McCormick's are very much like the Kimber but usually sell for a good bit less.

I haven't looked lately, but Midway used to have them on special fairly often.

When my old Mec-Gar plastic follower mags started going bad, after 30 years or so, I tested Wilson's and Chip McCormicks. If you are a very serious competitor, the Wilsons allow you to clean your mags quickly and efficiently between stages. There is a brush from Wal-Mart intended to clean under refrigerators which is excellent. The McCs are not easily cleaned, but have fewer points of failure. I bought the McCormicks. I keep the Wilson I tested too!
