The same to all of you. The locust like horde of grandchildren has departed for home giving us all a bit of a respite before some lucky soul gets to pick up the tab for supper tonight at the local Japanese steak house.

There, our traditional Japanese chef, Juan, will treat the kids to onion ring volcanoes, the shrimp toss, egg balancing and his formidable edged weapon skills.

And the food is pretty good.

The best of times.
