How would you rate the products from James River Armory? Their proprietary "Rock-Ola" being their "purchased" trademark for their products. They seem as if they are a decent value for the money. $1295.00 for their M1 Carbine is a bit on the steep side, but if itis as good as it seems, it will be the last M1 Carbine I'll ever buy. I will be putting it to work in the field, on the range and for home defense.

I haven't actually seen a JRA Rock Ola, but they do sound nice. They tout a milled from barstock receiver, but with M1 Carbines the issues have always been around heat treating, and where all the holes/cuts are made. Still, I'd like to think that if someone has gone to that much trouble to build a carbine, that they would take the time to make sure they did it all right, since others in the past went 90% of the way, but then completely botched the heat treating. Still for that price you CAN find a GI carbine and not have to worry about a thing mechanically.

I wish I could offer some good perspective on the JRA carbine, but I just haven't laid hands on one.
