I have called and emailed my Congresscritter to support it.
I hope it passes, I am sick and tired of having states off limits to free citizens of the Republic.

Gun rights victory as House passes CCW Reciprocity
Gun rights advocates won a major victory in the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday as the concealed carry reciprocity legislation that has been bitterly opposed by gun control lobbying groups passed on a bipartisan vote of 231-198.

Anybody wanna place bets that when it comes back from the Senate, NICS expansion stays but Nationwide Carry is gone?
I wouldn't trust a one of those monkeyhumpers if they were all strapped into electric chairs and my hand on One Switch To Fry 'Em All...

OK, here's a idea I haven't heard anyone propose, but since we're in the mode of "compromise that constitutes a win", how about this:
We agree to something the Left has been pounding the table for for years, universal background checks, but in return the requirement for the NICS check to be done by an FFL is dropped. I mean, the check involves nothing more than a phone call and a form that takes all of two minutes to fill out...why does a license holder have to do it, and why do we have to pay for it?
So, you want to give your college-age son a rifle for Christmas? Easy: make a phone call. Want to sell a guy at your club your .50AE with eight rounds through it? Make a phone call. The Left gets their universal background checks; we get simpler lives, saved money, and the chance to prove that the checks will accomplish nothing.

That and "ending the gun show loop hole," is code for ending privates sales and gifting firearms to friends and family.

We have a universal back ground check law in Oregon, thanks to Bloombergs' money. I have a friend of forty years. I've been with him several time when he has purchased a gun and gone through the checks, If he wants to borrow a rifle from me , as he usually does to go on his late elk hunt we are supposed to go an FFL holder and run the check. When he returns it to me we have to do it again. STUPID! Our sheriff says it;s unenforcable and I agree.

Yeah, we just need to get five or six Wannabe Gods in black robes to declare it so. Right now we have Thomas, Alito, maybe Gorsuch... I wouldn't trust Roberts or Kennedy if they were strapped into Old Sparky with my hand on Da Switch.
