Friends,

I'm a Southpaw & am about to buy an "as new" P64 Polish military surplus SA pistol.
I would like to have a LEFTHAND full-coverage military-style holster for the little pistol BUT the Poles never (as far as I can determine) made one in LH.

So IF anyone has a "well- used" but intact original military holster & which has the attached magazine pouch, that is surplus to their needs, I'd like to buy it to "rip apart" & make a pattern from.
(I'd sooner NOT tear apart an "as new" holster to make the pattern & have so far NOT found any that were NOT in near new shape, though I know that some "came in" in what could be called, "more than well-used shape".)

I know you're probably a do it yourselfer hardcore, but have you checked out pacific leather out of California- I think that's what it's called- they make holsters and mirror image holsters for the1911 - I have one of their 1912 doubles ( extended drop . leather and mirror image, suitable for horse mounted) and it is one nice rig- they might have something similar for you

YEP, this is a "go buy a piece of scrap saddle leather" & it will be a DIY project.
(That way, if I don't like the result, it's MY fault. - Every time I make something for myself, I learn a new skill. and/or figure out where I "screwed up" & fix the problem.)

having spent a goodly portion of my life on horseback, leatherworking holds no fascination for me- I like to get the accoutrement into the field as quickly as possible- leatherworking and beading are what our first nations people call "ekerewwaqs"
