I found this in a local gun shop and couldn't resist. It's a Springfield loaded model M1A with a stainless NM barrel, a Sage EBR stock. The metal seems to have been anodized that greenish OD color. The scope is a Leupold Mark IV 10 power Mil dot. It is a heavy sucker.

Wow, that's a beauty. With a rifle like that you can BE somebody.

I have a few of the fixed-power Mark IV's. They're great scopes, and a great fit for that piece. Those look like Mark IV rings too.

Love the rug, too.

That is one tricked out Springfield! I'll bet it is heavy. And I'll bet it shoots, too! The M1a I owned was heavy enough with just wood furniture and a big mil dot Springfield scope, but it sure was a tack driver. With Federal Match, .75 MOA off the bench at 100 yards easy.

Do you ever get real depressed when you think about the guns you got rid of?

Oh yeah many times. One I can think of right away was a Japanese 7.7 sniper, the 6.5 sniper is a little more common, the M1C is another. but I needed the money.
