Washington Post to be sold to Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon - The Washington Post

If Amazon founder Bezos buys a major national newspaper, how long will it be until it reflects his political bias?

Unless Bezos has some new business insight here, it could be the first. "Jane Fonda's New York Times" brings me to a cold sweat.

There are those who think Bezos bought it as a way to influence those who bring antitrust actions against Amazon in DC--a LOT of antitrust actions, and most of the turds floating in that cesspool read Washington Compost right alongside NY Slimes everyday. (h/t Mark Levin for the nicknames)

It would be HARD for "The Washington COM-post" to be LESS HONEST than it currently is. - In 2013, the "newspaper" is the primary "house organ" of the DNC, DNCC & the other "DIMocRAT extremists".
(REMEMBER, before you believe anything that they print, that the "COM-post" printed an "expose" by BOB WOODWARD, "their star reporter", where Woodward claimed to have interviewed a person, who at the time of "the interview" was "in a persistent vegetative state".)

I long ago lost any faith in the basic truthfulness of the "COM-post", believing LITTLE that they printed, except the SPORTS section.

To All: Does anyone know the attitudes, reputation for honesty of Bezos AND/OR his "politics"?

Absolutely. It is today a wholy-owned subsidiary of the Democrazi Party.

The Post (Aka "Prava West") is like the frozen tundra or the State Department: Absolutely anything you could do to it would make it better, including burning it to the ground.

Here in central Virginny, we refer to the Post as Pravda on the Potomac.

In the spirit of the old Russian saying that: "There is no Pravda in Invesdia and no Invesdia in Pravda" (pravda=truth, invesdia= news), shouldn't the Times be Invesdia on the Hudson? Anyone know a reasonably close landmark whose name begins with an "I" to keep the flow going?

The old Hearst newspaper logo was a lighthouse. I expect the proper logo for either of the above would be one of the old bullseye lanterns. If Diogenes started looking for an honest publisher, he'd become an alcoholic.

Someone on another forum noted the vast historical library newspapers maintain in old editions and for research. If Bezos acquired the IP rights to all of that he could license it to Amazon for print on demand and Kindle.
