Richard Davis, developer of Second Chance body armor (IIRC, the first practical concealable body armor) did this routinely to prove his product. He used a .44, then immediately shot bowling pins off a table to prove he was using full power rounds--the origin of the sport of "pin shooting".

The year I won my Dillon 1050 was at one of the “Second Chance Shoots” where Richard Davis always did that demonstration. Cringed every time I saw it. I mean, he was making a LOT of money, but I kept thinking to myself; how bad do you want to be rich?

Second Chance was at the top of my dream list...Mas made it sound like it was a ton of fun to just attend! I did a few local pin matches and that was the most fun competition I've shot.
