Shortly after the recent Media storm hit the NRA and certain Pro-2nd. Amendment folks after the recent Parkland School attack*, I picked up one of those NRA-ILA "Contest Entry" donation forms. These are the big glossy envelopes where you can enter to potentially win enough firearms to produce a 1980s Action Movie, while also donating to the NRA Institute for Legislative Action and getting some gifts for said donations if you so choose.
Mine had been lying about for a while, and I had been on the fence about sending it in. I decided after things got pretty bad pretty quick that I would send it in. It looks like I was not the only one who made that call. Here is the notice that I got in the mail from the NRA-ILA a couple of days ago. Apparently the gifts one can get with a certain level of donation are on back order, due to a massive response.
*Which was carried out by an attacker who could have been put in a jail cell or a Mental Facility many times over, due to past calls to Authorities.
