What did Carol have up her sleeve the other night?

And how did Forest Ninja Daryl let himself get outstalked--two weeks in a row?

And why oh why did Glenn ever get out of that shower with Maggie? I sure wouldn't have. :p

All legit questions.

And how does Carol deploy a weapon like that accurately and without... mishap.
Carol must be the best point-shooter since Bill Jordan. Remember during the Wolf attack, she dispatched at least one walker with a headshot from 10-15 yards, both of them (her and the walker) moving!

Yep, I keep an eye on Carol.

She gives me fever... :)
It doesn't hurt that she looks more like Jamie Lee Curtis all the time. :p

Still, she's only the third hottest on the show at the moment, after Rosita and Maggie. :p:p

I guess soon we'll be adding "Carol, Maggie or Rosita?" to the classic game of "Wilma or Betty, MaryAnn or Ginger, Jennifer or Bailey?" ;):D

I ALSO want to know what Carol had up her sleeve. Some kind of full-auto handgun? I know they exist but the market for them seems mostly european LEO. Perhaps a "modified" Glock/Sig/whatever?

And Darryl getting caught like that? What the bleep is going on there? Plus that kind of trap seems a little obvious anyway.

Why did Glenn get out of the shower?

He was clean. :neer:

I mean, really.....in a zombi-apocolypse one does try to save water.....right? ;)

It made no sense for otherwise cunning survivors. At one point there were seven of them out there in three, then four groups. It was like a horror flick when the teenagers all split up in the haunted house and the hot girl decides it's time to take a shower. All a setup for next week's shocker.

:cheers:The wife and I love this show, and suspension of disbelief is critical to just about any form of entertainment, but you gotta admit they get the whole firearms thing wrong about 95% of the time.

I can't think of any kind of full auto (even handgun type) that would operate inside the confines of the sleeve of that jacket. Reciprocating slide or bolt, hot ejected shell casings, muzzle flash and a magazine that would hold about 30 (it was a pretty long burst of fire) rounds?

And speaking of full auto, not the most effective use of their weapons considering (until now anyway...looks like reloading or manufacturing may become a plot point)) they were scrounging for ammo. That and single head shots on the Walker's are much more efficient. But full auto looks cooler on the tube.

Ahh, Maggie. What can I say.

Carol. She is just plain bad ass. I am having a hard time following her rather abrupt moral crisis. And as she just found out, if she wants to live, she will HAVE to kill at some point (people...Walkers are a given).

Darryl just hasn't had much luck lately. Really since Beth was killed. That tied together? :dunno:

Someone in our family is getting offed by Negen next week. In the comic...uhh, 'scuse me...Graphic Novel...it's Glenn. But we won't find out who until the first episode of the next season.

The showrunner's are absolute masters at keeping us tuning in.

Oh. Snake, love your hashtag!:rock::rotflmao:

I ran back the beginning of the show, where Carol is sewing "something." Only gun I saw was what looked like the last 2" of a 4" revolver peeking out from behind her work.

I don't think the burst of gunfire was full-auto. It sounded like five or six very fast single shots to me. After which several empty "clicks" could be heard, consistent with a DA revolver (not that any "gun sounds" can be treated as definitive on TV. At least we didn't get the sound of brass hitting concrete this time.)

She got at least, what, four good hits with those six shots? From a good 15-20 yards, DA, completely unsighted? As I said, best point-shooter since Bill Jordan.

ETA: Movie gun database claims it's a MAC-11. I don't believe it. I need to save that image of the gun behind the letter and lighten it up so I can see what it is.

Apparently it WAS a MAC. I guess I just saw the upper corner of the receiver and front sight, missed the barrel and threads completely.

Actually, I think that is a "pleasant mood" for Negan.

If the writers follow comic book canon, we know who got it.

But they've shown a willingness to deviate in the past, so...

OK, who "got it" in the comics?
I looked into buying a set .... until I saw the price. Ick. I can watch the TV series without paying anything extra.

There's the possibility that Negan didn't kill anyone.

I don't think he said he was going "kill somebody" in a minute, he said he was gonna "beat the hell" out of somebody.

I'm thinking Aaron and the Abraham-Rosita-Sasha triangle are in the most danger. (Yes, I know who gets it in the comic book.)

At any rate, I'd hate to be one of those 11 actors this summer, trying to negotiate my contract. "You want more money? Have you MET Negan?"

Ironically, the most secure actor on the show at this particular moment is...Negan.

Would someone care to explain

the attraction of this show? I gave up on the American International genre of horror pictures with the conclusion of the Doctor Phibes Motion Pictures.

I have no fascination with the "Zombie" craze. IMHO, the stuff ran it's course in the 1960's. (Yes, I was around then). I'm sorry, but this time waster seems to be pure rubbish.

What is the crux of the attraction?

I'm not sure I can; people seem divided, they either like it, or, like you do not and are perplexed at the popularity.
As it is on AMC (cable) I will concede one thing; it is a "niché" show.
There are some new twists so far as "zombies" are concerned. We know from an earlier season that whatever causes people who die to come back as "walkers", a prion, virus, whatever -- EVERYONE has it. Whatever kills you in this show, even natural death apparently, the corpse reanimates as a "walker." The only thing that stops them is to destroy the brain.
A walker -- or "zombie" is a "safe" enemy. Use neonazis and maybe risk offending Germans ....use Islamic terrorists and risk offending Muslims. Zombies don't have a lobby; EVERYONE knows they are bad things to have around.
Also, we see in "The Walking Dead" that while th zombies are dangerous enough, they aren't the only danger. Other groups, such as the Governor or the Terminus groups can be dangerous A newer example is Negan, and from what I've heard his group may be the worst.
We see our groups responding as they adapt and Rick Grimes seems to be the focus of this aspect. How best to survive? Strict obedience....democracy....and how do you retain any semblance of humanity along the way? How to prevent burnout?
So many questions that arise for a survival scenario that will never have a real-life analog as, of course, zombies are a product of horror fiction.

Is it a "time-waster?" Well .... if you don't like it, I suppose it is. I don't like Barney the Purple Dinosaur, Teenage Mutant Ninjas, so to to me they would be "time wasters." But I don't watch them. If you don't like "The Walking Dead" then the great thing about America is you have a choice. There are many other channels on TV. There are DVDs. There are books.

How many episodes have you watched?

What shows do you watch?
