Called to my attention by John Hunter…

Pennridge police upgrade firearms:
Pennridge bought 14 guns - one per officer and one spare - and accessories for $9,300.
This comes out to over $660 a copy, but later on it specifies the cost per Glock at $230 each. That's pretty cheap even for a Glock on a state LE contract price.

Hmmmmn...

:D Dean, You need to learn the "New Math".
I suspect this is another of those "devil in the details" sort of things since "accessories" weren't specified. Holsters, lasers, mud flaps and **** tails do add up you know.

I especially liked the fact that they would get more in trade for the old Smiffs than the new Glocks cost. I suspect the price of the Glocks in a tax free govt. purchase is fairly average.

I do hope that the folks who so kindly donated find out how badly they was had....

Me too. Here's the e-letter I sent to McCall

The new guns cost $230 each, Mettin said. Pennsylvania Police Supply, the company that sold Pennridge the Glocks, is expected to purchase the Smith & Wessons for $245 each.

Let's see, 14 x $230 = $3,220

Who pocketed the other six grand?
The math was interesting but why would anyone trade .45's for .40's?

45's FOREVER!!!!! :!:
