Miss rifles like this from the old days. Built on a military Mauser action, custom barrel in 25-06. Bluing done in house, receiver drilled and tapped in house. Hand carved and checked stock and nice trigger pull. Don't find them like this anymore. Credit to Archie Stahl, gunsmith of Bowling Green, KY.

I will bump this up. I hope you find some folks here who can help you track some pieces down. I will assume that you have already checked with local gun stores and shooting ranges. Perhaps some of the locals will be able to track some of those rifles down for you. I fondly remember when I would walk into gun stores and see racks on racks of blued hunting rifles with wood stock. The smiths that would do all this stuff in house were a special breed. The rifle is certainly beautiful, from the finish to the stock, the checkering and the spacer on the stock's pad. That is a beautiful rifle there, and it does my heart good to see those pictures.
