I'd bought a big box of 8m/m mauser ammo headstamp PCH 39 . I have fired over two hundred rounds so far and got my first failure to fire today . Still haven't had any hangfires thankfully . Seems like pretty good odds for the money .

I got 900 rounds of the same stuff, dated 1940. So far I've had two with hard primers that required a second hit, but not hangs or duds.

I have a bunch of 1938 to 1940 stuff. I have been pulling the bullets and using the powder/bullets in com cases. Then I do not have to deal with the corrosive issue.
