Ed, i have an uncle (who we affectionaly refer to as the nutcase of the family) who bought a P-14LDA, and i shot it a few times, the grip was a tat too thick for my taste, but the trigger was very nice, it almost makes you think your shooting a double action revolver due to the way that the trigger "pivots" rather than "sildes" back into the grip housing as the starndard 1911's do

I have a passing interest in old west sidearms. I heard a refererane to a BAT 44 a while back and have not been able to find out anything about it. Has anyone heard of this sidearm before. I guess its possible they mispronounced, or I misheard the name. Maybe it was BRET 44
