Has anyone here used the hicap promags for the XD? They are significantly cheaper than factory mags, especialy if you get the C&R price from midway. Are they junk, or would they be a good substitute for the overpriced springfield mags. Thanks in advance.

MecGar and ProMag generally make pretty good mags.

MecGar, supplying to many manufacturers, branded with Manufacturers' name....

ProMag gives a lifetime warranty... try a couple.

I've heard a few complaints about ProMag magazines, though I have no personal experience with them. If you do get one post and give us a report, I need to pick up another mag or two myself and at this point I'm favoring factory. Here are a few other places to look at for XD mags and accessories.

I just bought a set of tritium sights for mine. I've been trying to give the local retailers a chance to sell me some standard-capacity magazines but I am losing patience.
