NICE! Not my personal bag for outfitting a 1911 (I like a heavier pull on a shorter, rounded, smooth-surface trigger so my short stubby finger just glides across it), but gotta admire Esmerelda and Baer's craftsmanship and a skilled trigger job. :)

Yeah, I would have done a few things differently if I was ordering new (I like stainless), but this was such a deal that I decided to jump on it. After a couple of hundred rounds (not even half broken-in), I'm pretty pleased.

At least I can rack it now without having to break the lockup against the edge of the bench. She's tighter than [insert homespun metaphor].

CaptainGyro,

We hillbillies from northeast TX say, "Tighter than Dick's hat-band.".
(I've never known who Dick was or why he insisted on wearing a hat that was way too small.)

Btw, that pistol's just: DOWNRIGHT UPRIGHT!!!

yours, sw

I knew that song... I'm not sure why that bothers me.

And I'm drinking that very same whiskey after a day of shooting Thompsons, grease guns, CETME's and Madsens.

Nice acquisition, Cap'n.

3.75 lb. trigger by...well, you know.
Charlie worked on it?

Nice piece. My first LB was a PII. I think the only thing I've changed on it was an extractor. That's what I shot when we had the 1911 dog shoot off after the gong match a while back.

I knew that song... I'm not sure why that bothers me.
Are the Nazis about to show up?

a day of shooting Thompsons, grease guns, CETME's and Madsens.
Did you make a trip through here without telling me?

I'm just glad your imbibing after shooting Thompsons, grease guns, etc...

A few folks around my neck of the woods would have done it the other way around. ;)
