Have not found a page or link that leads to the place for registration on rec.guns. The main page has lots of informative stuff, yet I've seen nothing on that page about the forum or it's registration. Kinda frustrating, oh and no link for their webmaster, either.

Thanks for any suggestions,

John

Awwwwww, you guys are cruel…

John134 (are you an AOLer by any chance?), there is no registration for Rec.Guns. It is a newsgroup, not a Forum or a Website, so I have no idea what "main page" you are referencing unless it's http://www.recguns.com/.

There's some information about Rec.Guns in TGZ at http://www.thegunzone.com/rec.guns-charter.html and http://www.thegunzone.com/rec.guns.html.

Yep, you have to register at google.com to be able to make posts on rec.guns. Did this earlier today. Reading is easy, posting requires registration!

If you use your ISP's Usenet newsreader feed, you won't have to post through Google.

That's a Google requirement, not rec.guns. The main requirement Magnaum has is that you post with a valid e-mail address. If your ISP has a Usenet server, post through them. Also get a good newsreader such as either Agent, Mozilla or Gravity Planet and ditch Out-O-Luck Express from Microshaft.

Aw, Sam, c'mon, now!

Outlook Express, while it does have its, um, vulnerabilities, is a very versatile and useful program, and its Newsreader is easy to configure and use.

Also, Magnum/Jim appears to have gotten a bit lax about posting from a valid E-dress… if that is indeed one of the Charter's requirements.
