Tedious is the right word. Still, the process seems straightforward. If it catches on, it probably won't be long before somebody starts selling the heeled bullets, eliminating the casting step. This seems a little tedious to me.
You just turn the round so you hit in a fresh spot.Tedious is the right word. Still, the process seems straightforward. If it catches on, it probably won't be long before somebody starts selling the heeled bullets, eliminating the casting step.
The only stumbling block I can see is removing the dent from the rim of the spent cases.
I guess you could do that for single-shots and revolvers. It's impractical for semi-autos and mag-fed bolt guns. You just turn the round so you hit in a fresh spot.
And if the demand then regressed back to normal......the manufacturer would then have a superfluous multi-million dollar facility.Am I the only one who thinks it's just morally wrong to live in a world where we have to have a serious discussion about reloading .22lr? The ammunition manufacturers have failed us severely. 3.5 years is not a spike, it's the new normal. Step up and meet demand. It's time to build another factory and stabilize the market.
