My nephew was over yesterday helping me with my deck. Afterwards he got out his new .45 XDM to show me. I didn't get a chance to fire it but boy did that gun feel good in my hands. I was impressed! (coming from a BHP enthusiast).

You know Charlie, I have been reading and hearing that for some time, I don't know why it's taken me this long to get my paws on one. But the grip angle, the balance, everything just felt good in my hands. Even the width of the grip wasn't bad with a high capacity .45 mag.

My stepson bought a .45 XD last month and we went to the range. I too like the feel, and I was expecting it to kick like my 1911. Nope! The recoil seemed much less than my 1911! Plus it holds 13 in the mag + 1 in the tube. ++ to Springfield ( ....and Croatia )

I did not personally like the grip feel on the XDM, for me it was to aggressive. I went with the XD in 40. took it out and shot it and had horrible groups. I was anticipating the trigger, just seemed to long. I put in a springer trigger kit and now I LOVE it..
