Did notice when i took care of my HSc today that the serial markings where different on my two HSc.
My comercial is made in 1941 and my Kriegsmarine in may 1944...

The comercial has the last three digits scrathed inside in front of the slide, the kriegsmarine has no digits at that spot...
sorry about the unclear number on the grip, it is 738863

The number is done with an electric pencil or a scribe rather than being stamped. When you see this, often it is just their way to keep things in order during the production of the gun; often for the finishing process. I would say for military production, that just wasn’t much of a priority. Still, it is odd that there’s a different process for military and commercial during wartime.

Kevin:
I had to take a closer look, i must learn to be more accurat when i study my weapons. I must use some more time, slow down and realy have a looksee - must not hurry...
You was wondering, and fired the question away - i had to check it closer...

It has the number 050 at the slide, i see it clear when lights strike at the right angle and when it is free from gun grease...
