You're gonna have to find some private land on which to shoot. If you find a place, you might even be able to work out a hunting deal; coyotes, anyhow, if not Bambi.

Drive down the FM and County roads and just politely ask a farmer or rancher. Offer to trade out some labor for the privilege of your trespass.

Dress clean and neat, but look as though you're ready to go to work right then...

I shoot milk jugs at a DNR range here in Georgia. Maybe the Texas DNR has a similar range?
