True Story:

When I was a kid, opening day of deep season was an unofficial school holiday. :thumbsup:

UNOFFICIAL??? = When I was in HS in NETEX, on opening day of EVERY season, it was a waste of time trying to hold school. = Finally, the school board tried making opening day a "in service day" but then they found that the male teachers called in sick, so the board gave up & made them holidays.
(Also, we brought our rifles/shotguns to school & checked them in with the principal's secretary. = Her office looked like a gun store every fall.)
