Back when I was a young Buck Sergeant E5 I was told no Jody. Some of it was just too risqué for some of the new 2LTs, especially the females. Sometimes I'd tell the Captain I'd never do it again and we both knew I was lying.

csmkersh,

When I was stationed in BRD in 1969-71, we had a German State Reserve Forces senior NCO (equal to a US E-7) assigned to our MP company as an allied "liaison".

Klaus taught us any number of the German "jody calls". = Some were "double entendre" & some definitely "OFF-color" & made the German speakers on post either blush and/or chuckle.
(GIs are the same everywhere.)

SW:

I was in Minden Germany as We phased out. I was billeted on Kaserne No. !, along with a small contingent of American and British troops. As a senior NCO I dined (yes dined) at a different mess facility the lower ranking enlisted personnel. There were white linen table cloths, menus and waiters who were German Bundeswehr, the equivalent to a PV1. Meals weren't free as we "diners" were expected to leave a tip.

One of the best US mess hall I ever ate at was a AF facility in Gulfport.

csmkersh,

I was a MIKE PAPA at Panzer Kaserne in K-town, Miesau Army Depot & at Zwiebrucken.
(I also spent a 175 day TDY at Bad Tolz.)

Btw, when I was a military school cadet, a boarding school buddy "got stuck" in the outside of his leg with a bayonet on a thrown Garand during rehearsal for a "fancy" drill team competition.
(I'm still not sure how the sheath came off the blade.)
What he said is UNPRINTABLE here BUT he completed the rehearsal anyway.= TOUGH KID.

I got aggravate with the Brits who were working the gate one evening and asked my Colonel to pull around just out of sight of the gate guards. I got a rolled up "Don't Mess with Texas" bumper sticker, walked over to their lorry and put the sticker on the back bumper. Took them a day or so to find it.

I never got stuck or cut but did get a rifle butt to the head when I jumped a guard during escape and evasion training. :(

Thanks guys.

Her recruiter lets her run PT for the newbies which consists mostly of running over to the track at the local diploma mill and then running around it a bunch of times. The MC is apparently big into running.

Last week she had a couple of young, slightly pudgy Hispanic males along for the run. They were chugging energy drinks just before and she suggested to them that this was a bad idea. They made some disparaging remarks to her in their native tongue (quite a bit of which she understood) and they all set off for their 6 miles or so.

The boys smoked Adrianne out of the parking lot but she passed them shortly afterwards when they stopped -several times- to unburden themselves of the fluids they had ill advisedly consumed. She was first back to the office and gone before they got back, assuming they came back.

The story kind of reminded me of that scene from Heartbreak Ridge, you know the one.

I remember things being a bit less "Hollywood" while attending "BUDS" in the Navy. But that was a long, long, long, Long time ago, and lead directly to orders on Continents far, far, far away. Yet you are right to be proud of that young ladies performance. But running is only the beginning of physical fitness. JMHO.

The chain is only as strong as the weakest link.

Don't dwell on the folks that won't make the grade, but support her in her efforts to achieve beyond the folks that will set the standards that others shall have to equal or surpass. It's a long difficult road, and many shall take the easier fork. JMHO.
