HOUSTON - Paul N. "Red" Adair, a world-renowned oil well firefighter who revolutionized the science of capping exploding and burning wells, has died, his daughter said. He was 89.

(Now who is going to keep an eye on Schmit?) :(

Wow. Talk about a blast from the past. Last year during the bad fire season out west, I was asking myself, "wonder whatever happened to Red Adair?" I forgot that I first heard about him at least 20 years ago, probably more. Of course I hadn't heard of him recently, he was OLD!!!

Thanks for the memories, Special Ed. You're such a good doggie. I'll bet your family loves you very much.

As well they should.

How about some blackened Science Diet for dinner, with a little pilaf of Iams on the side?

They're pretty good but I'll never forgive them for that first visit to the Vets! Should have declawed me too... since they left me with nothing to scratch!

Ohhhhhhhhhh, deer me!!! That sounds like . . .

too much information. :D

Nothing to scratch. :eek:mg:

Since I have a tendency to "scratch it" 20-25 times a week, . . .

in the words of The Great StainMaker, errrrrrrrrr, I mean the 42nd President, . . .
