Spanish .32 cal semi

Hi All,
I'm new to the group. I scoured the internet to find a site/person who may have some knowledge on a particular semi-automatic hand gun I have. It is a .32 caliber with a 7 round clip. The weapon has these markings: Made in Spain 32 cal ####(Edit by mod to remove serial#), BUFALO CAL 765. Some guy tried to tell me it was WWII vintage but I highly doubt it. I think it is pretty much a low-grade handgun. Does anyone know about it or where I could get more info on it? Thanks.

Hiya Brad…
It is a .32 caliber with a 7 round clip.
  1. Can you take a digital image of it so that we have a visual reference?[/*:3ojtz3zi]
  2. If it is a spring-loaded ammunition-feeding device, it is a magazine and not a "clip." Calling one for the other is a major offense on this Forum and punishable by muttered objurgation and general opprobrium.[/*:3ojtz3zi]
  3. As a security measure, one of the Moderators will redact the Serial Number so as to obviate potential problems for you down the road.[/*:3ojtz3zi]
Otherwise, welcome to the Forum.
Bufalo is a tradename used by Gabilondo y Cia of Eibar, Spain. The company later became known as Llama.

They were best known for the Ruby pattern pistol (a copy of the Browning / FN 1903) that was adopted by the French as their WWI service pistol. [Insert your own Cheese-eating Surrender Monkey joke here.]

There were loads of .25 and .32 Gabilondo pistols made under various names in the 1920s (and possibly the 1930s as well?).
Rob is dead right although I think some of them may have been around just after WW I and certainly in the early 20s.

I heard on the Daily Show that France just upped their Terrorist Threat Level from "Run" to "Hide". I surely hope that nothing happens to our French Friends.

I'll consider myself fully bilingual the day I come to understand Dean's writings in their entirety.

Thank guys for the info. 1,000 pardons Dean - as a vet I should have caught my terminology slip. I like to take you up on posting a digital to see if it yields any more info. Unfortunately I will have to do it tomorrow morning as the 3 essential elements (me, camera, gun) are presently some miles apart. Thanks again, you people really know your stuff.

Ouch. That stings. I wish I had thought of it.

I'm planning on being in Orlando on the 24th and 25th of Sept. I'd like to try to swing by the new store. It's still on 441, right?
G
Yeap, sure is... but it is a 1.5 miles South of the old store, same side of the street. There will be a largh church accross the street and we are next to a Howard Johnson Inn.
