Took four cheap pistols out to the range Sunday afternoon: Czech .32 auto; Star BM 9mm; Walther P1 9mm ; PA63 9mm Makarov. This was the first time out with the P1 and the Star; 2nd time with PA63 and Czech.
The Walther I sprayed all over the place, port to starboard. The little Czech .32 put them right where I wanted to. The Star BM also laid them right in there, where I wanted them to. The absolute worst was that PA63 in Makarov. That thing is actually painful to shoot. The alloy frame really beats me up. I'm no lightweight, by any means, but that thing is horrible. It doesn't shoot too badly, but it did bite me pretty well on the web of my left hand. ( I am trying to learn to shoot left-handed, due to a come-together with my right-hand trigger finger and my snowblower.) There is a bite mark, and 5 little hickeys on my left hand now.
I guess the Makarov will go, as will the P1. The Star will go onto my favorites list. The .32 will be another "fun-gun."
