Guy From what I have read suppressors even for air guns are illegal without a tax stamp. To my amazement I came across this. How is this legal?? It is called the Gamo WHISPER.

If it's an integral suppressor that can not be disassembled from the airgun without rendering it useless then it's not a silencer.

A device has to reduce the report of a firearm to qualify as a silencer. If it can't be detached from the airgun then it can't be attached to a firearm. If it can't be attached to a firearm then it can't reduce the report of a firearm.

I believe I've seen the gamo Whisper in the Cabela's catalog. I think they have them on the Walther tactical model air pistol with a laser sight flashlight and other goodies. I really don't see the point of suppressing a CO2 powered air gun but I guess it looks cool for the kids.
