I have a slightly used Remington R51 in 9mm.
I wonder if the FBI would ...:rolleyes:

Never mind ... I think I'll have it gold plated and stick it in my safe where it will accrue great value and someday be worth $$$millions$$$$.

Two words: "Spray Paint."

So a doublestack 9mm 1911, with optional Simunitions barrel and corresponding top-half and a dummy Blue Gun slide-assembly with unbored barrel. I'm sure any competent barrel shop could handle that component... just a simple matter of which barrel goes ni what color slide.

So simple, a Democrat could do it... LOL

Kevin Gibson, et. al.,

IF what we've heard is true, the ZERO MIS-administration has bought enough ammo for about a CENTURY, at current levels of use.
Thus, I'm NOT at all surprised that the same motley coven of fools, BIGOTS, morons, busybodies, SELF-interested "public nannies", HATERS, bloated bureaucrats, radical leftists/fascists & just plain common criminals, who call, themselves "progressives", would be that wasteful of taxpayer's money.

just my OPINION, sw

The M&P9 fits class one, there's a long slide version that fits class two. Class three requires a bit of work, a simmumitions barrel and some paint does class four.

Typically, those contracts include transition training, armorer training, service and spare parts. That inflates the contract value. As does a rider for additional weapons that may be required and continuing guaranteed parts prices.

Note: 'contract value' and final price aren't necessarily the same thing.

Not really--no firing pin and an un-bored (well, chamber and small well for bullet only so it'll chamber but not fire) barrel, and it's good.

Cheap and cheerful, and virtually Off The Shelf.:D

Apples and Oranges

So, the military wants to trade up from the 9mm, and the FBI wants to trade down to the 9mm.

Too bad we can't get these guys in sync...
FBI does not have their lawyers telling them that, despite the fact that the US never signed the Hague Accords, they are barred from using expanding (e.g., JHP) bullets.

One can use hollow point, the other can't. New 124+P's or 147's in 9mm will do most anything LE needs.

In FMJ's clearly you just want the biggest bullet you can get.
