Today, seventy four years ago, our men along with our allies landed at Normandy, France.
Erwin Rommel knew it was coming and said it would be "der lengst tag," meaning "the Longest Day," for both invader and defender. The phrase was title for both a book and movie.
Again, we should take a moment to remember the men who turned the North Sea red, who died so we could remain free.
R. I. P. all the brave souls. You did well.
