Due to my "nerd" sons (and my wife) I have seen pretty much everything in the Marvel Universe. Jon Bernthal does a really good job with the role.

Finished it Last night even the wife is hooked on these MC series.The only ones I have not cared for so far Luke and Sarah(?).Now the evil guy who played opposite of Sarah was pretty badass.

I love Luke Cage (modern day Shaft), and Jessica Jones. He's the squeaky clean, wanna do the right thing tough guy, and she's the hard drinking, doesn't give a crap Yang to his Yin...they're kinda fun.

I agree. I thought Luke Cage was about the best overall so far.

Yes you are right some of the scenes just was not for me.I liked the Fist alot in fact is what got the wife and I to start watching.

Iron Fist might have been the weakest of all of the Netflix shows. And I'm saying this as an old Marvel Comics geek.

Daredevil was really well done, as were Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Ol' Danny Rand needs a little more polishing, but I think it'll get there. Colleen Wing makes it worth watching all by herself.

Waited very patiently for The Punisher. I agree that Bernthal is one hell of an actor. The action was great, and OMG, he actually reloaded a time or three. But that ol' Devil Dog sure has amazing recuperative powers for a plain old human being.

Really, I enjoyed it very much. Can't help wondering if he isn't gonna steal Karen Page from Matt Murdock, though. Sure seemed to be a lot of heat between the two.

And there's always The Defenders if you haven't seen it. Has everyone but Frank Castle in it. Wasn't too bad. Sort of a Hells Kitchens Avengers.

See thta's were I have to disagree the story itself in the Fist was the strongest and best written.My thought's was you did not need the action and finding out the strength of the Hand....when DR came down with the fist in to the floor that was badass.

IC and you are not alone in your assessment of the show alot of the viewers gave it a low rating but stated not enough action for that call.Me good writing always triumphs.DD was excellent but it took about 4-6 episodes of JJ for me to start getting interested had to bully myself to the end :dunno:

It funny I am reading this we are all over 50 some just a little bit(SC) but the young guys at work do not even know these exist or what's Netflix.

I found Danny Rand to be a mostly annoying character. I agree with IC as far as Jessica Henwick/Colleen Wing is concerned.

Hey Javalin, no worries. To each his own. I certainly didn't dislike Ironfist, I just think they didn't do the Danny Rand I remember from my Marvel years justice. They are on the way to bringing him around.

Walt, suspension of disbelief is an absolute necessity for any decent fiction (or political campaign), so I don't sweat that too much. It is great storytelling. And if my grandson ever leaves me with enough bandwidth, I'm gonna watch'em all again.

My son is over in Misawa Japan with the 35th bandwidth is no longer an issue around here.

I was never a comic book reader either, but I do enjoy most of the shows.

My favorite was and is Donald Duck. Never was into Mickey or Superheroes, X Men or K Kent.
