In another sign of the easing of the great powder shortage, lot of folks on other forums are reporting seeing new canisters of the Clays family on store shelves. Evidently production has shifted from Australia, as the new containers are marked "Made in Canada".

A friend at Hodgdon confirms that Clays has been moved to the General Dynamics Canada plant also known as Expro.

He reports that all parameters such as bulk density remain the same and data based on the Aussie product is interchangeable.

Well this presents a quandary. I had given up on a lot of my Universal recipes and worked up loads using 231. Now Universal may be back, and CFE Pistol is coming up fast on the outside. What to do, what to do?

When it comes to pistol powders I guess I'm pro-choice.
