I would appreciate some help identifying some markings on a Union firearms shotgun made between 1903 - 1913 in Toledo, Ohio. They produced 2 models, the 24 with 2 triggers and the later model 50 with one trigger with a total of 17,000 produced (from my research.) At the current time, the Buffalo Trading Company has a Union firearms that they call the model 27, item #F2600. The one that I have, appears to be identical to this one, with the 2 triggers, but it has a solid ribbed barrel (hopefully more valuable, ha, ha.) The problem is that I have no markings of the manufacturer or gauge. The only marking I have is that it is stamped in capital letters "THE ROBERTS" with smaller letters under it stated 1910 model. This is located on the left-hand side of the receiver. The gun also has two other sets of numbers, 100429 3-4. These numbers are located on the underside of the receiver just ahead of the loading port above the magazine tube. I received one off-the-wall suggestion, that this may have a connection with the paddle wheeler, The Roberts. But I can't find any information on this. Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated.

Wow!

I can't even find Union Firearms listed in the Blue Book of Gun Values. Nor do I find it listed in NRA's list of makers of firearms for catalog vendors such as Sears, Roebuck and Montgomery Ward (NRA Firearms Fact Book).

An internet search turned up a Wikipedia article on a .32-caliber Union Automatic Revolver - a Lefever design, similar to the Webley Fosberry - manufactured by the Union Firearms Company of Toledo, Ohio, produced in limited number from 1909 to 1912.
