Until he hit with a solo career, Glenn Campbell was one of the lead guitarists in "The Wrecking Crew", which was a group of West Coast studio musicians. The Wrecking Crew was the musicians that played on about 3 out of 5 rock & roll / Pop records made on the West Coast in the 1960's. They were a group of extremely talented musicians who could take one glance at a sheet of music, look at each other, and then play a song where their first take sounded like they've been playing that particular piece of music for 20 years. Glenn Campbell was guitarist on a HUGE laundry list of songs and albums from the 1960's that you typically wouldn't associate Glenn Campbell with.

I have never been a country music fan, but Glenn Campbell always struck me as one of the good guys.

Some true greats there.

I have ZERO interest in country music...for the most part, I consider it ear-rape!

But if Clark & Owens are pickin guitars/banjos/mandolins/lutes...or anything short of their nose...I will stop what I'm doing and listen!! Them boys were brilliant!
