Charlie, another excellent Handloader piece, this one on using Trail Boss for reduced rifle loads.

You and I privately discussed using Trail Boss in .303 Brit a couple months ago, and I've procured a can of TB and all the components to load some up (I'll be using 123 grain FMJ 7.62x39 bullets, which seem to be properly sized).

Both my Enfields seem to have long-ish headspace. I've put #2 bolt heads in both (the longest I could find after some searching) and near as I can tell, they're both still marginal (right on the edge of long). I'm thinking if I can fire-form cases to headspace on the shoulder instead of on the rim, and then neck-size from then on, my headspace problems (if indeed I have any) will disappear. Am I correct in this thinking? And, would Trail Boss-based reduced loads accomplish this fire-forming?
