Update on Phillippine Return Garands

Unboxing is always exciting. Back in the '80's when I worked for Pacific International and ARMEX, when shipments came in it was always exciting. There's always something really special to be found (like IHC #1 they found). Some of the rather incredible things I stumbled upon were:

M1 Carbine in original wax wrap
Brand new, in the crate Vickers with all the tools and accessories
A crate containing over 100 Schnellfuer-Broomhandle Mausers, all in outstanding condition
As best e could tell, an unfired/unissued MP-44
A stainless AC-556k...from China.
A completely hand made M&P revolver from China. But the grip frame was that of a broomhandle Mauser, as was the hammer. It was the most bizarre thing I ever saw

As well as some unexpected things:

One crate had several RPG-2's at the bottom.
One crate had 16lbs of C4
One crate had a box of Russian hand grenades
Various rifle grenades, anti-personnel mines, mortar rounds, etc.
It was always VERY unsettling when we came across ordnance because it was always OLD, and sometimes stored in less than ideal conditions. Bomb squad were regular invites to our warehouse. They were very nice and had a very good sense of humor. ATF never once got pissed about the ordnance, they were always much more worried about the guns.
