In a stunning victory for concealed carry advocates, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia issued a permanent injunction against enforcement of such a requirement in Washington, D.C., but the ruling could have a ripple effect.

The ruling is another court victory for the Second Amendment Foundation in a case called Wrenn v. District of Columbia. The 2-1 ruling was authored by Judge Thomas Beall Griffith, a 2005 George W. Bush appointee. He was joined by Senior Judge Stephen F. Williams, a 1986 Ronald Reagan appointee who assumed senior status in 2001.

It seems likely that SCOTUS would take this given the recent Ninth Circut decision on Good Reason requirement.
I wish that were true, oh how I wish that were true. But this SCOTUS seems very determined to stay out of the gun issue after Heller. They have had good cause to take the issue up last year, but chose not to. I don't think this is going to change things.

But oh how I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

GunGeek,

Inasmuch as President Trump may get to nominate 1-3 more Justices to the SCOTUS, I'm perfectly willing to wait a while for the Court to take up another 2A case.
(Offhand I can think of 3 who NEED to be replaced with a Constitutionalist.)

Exactly. I was not at all disappointed that the court declined the recent case. I think Roberts' heart is in the right place but perceive him to be a prudent man who doesn't mind biding his time until the outcome is fairly certain.
