Greetings...I am the proud daughter of LT COL William M Jones, USAF NAVIGATOR.;)

Dad is at the end of his life. I am making the plans for his funeral. The problem is this:

I have his DD-214. I want to purchase his ribbons and medals to make a display case befitting his career.
* In item 24 of the DD-214 are 22 items....all abbreviations.:confused:

How can I tell what is what with those abbreviations?
Can't order the medals and awards unless I know the names. Can anyone assit me? You must know how greatful the family will be.

Brandy, if you'll post those abbreviations, I'm sure one of us ol' wingnuts can translate them for you.

Brandy,

First: Our most sincere condolences from Sandra, Noemi & me on the loss of your beloved father.

I'll be honored to help.
PM me with a phone number (if you wish) OR post the list from the DD214 here.
(I'm retired Army and i know there are a lot of other "old soldiers" here besides me, so we will get it done.- Sandra is a retired 06, USAF & she will know, i'm sure.))

yours, sw

You are most welcome. BTW, I think these 3 lines:
1st Bomb Div

1944 Vietnam Air Offensive

Camp Ph I, II, III w/3 BSS (2 Nov66-Oct68 )
are meant to elaborate on his Air Medal awards.
