I was driving by my local airport yesterday, and I got a surprise.
I saw some beautiful, huge rotors peeking up. Bigger than the rotors of the choppers we usually get, when we get them. I thought they might be from a Skycrane, but they were unbelievably bright and just beautiful. I then noticed they were attached to a Marine "Marine One" Executive Chopper of the type the President uses. I then noticed that there were three of them, lined up, side by side.
I got my camera, and pulled into the parking lot. Marines were on the tarmac, chilling out. Neither their flight suits nor the choppers had a single speck of dust on them. Local Police were out, also chilling. Plus there was a small crowd, which got steadily larger over the course of an hour or so.
I filmed this video just before the three helicopters departed. The roll out was beautiful. One doesn't see this thing every day, I believe the whole crowd there felt privileged. Big ups to the USMC, they know what they're about!
