Pretty impressive, but I wonder if it ever occurred to anybody to build the smelters next to the mines. A huge percentage of what they're shipping is waste rock.
Yep, seems like that's doing it the hard way.

In other news, I've sold more shade 12 lenses in 4 days than I have in the last 38 years...

They used a lot of coal in both smelting the iron and making steel from the smelted iron. The coal came from one place and the ore from somewhere else. Locate somewhere in between based on which raw material is used in larger quantity.

What surprised me most was the location of the cab on those things.
