The Gun Zone is on the move due to a re-allocation of its previous host's server resources... no, it wasn't censored by anti-gunners or nuked by a certain polymer pistol manufacturer.

Fortunately for us, EOTAC has provided what we hope will be a new permanent home. During this period of transition and reorganization, there's going to be some incorrect links, but those will be updated and brought on-line as quickly as possible... there are over 200 TGZ pages to restructure and validate, and only one person to do it, so please be patient. (Right now, all the Glock and Pine Barrens Range/LIPSA links should work... if they don't, please let us know.)

Meanwhile, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rob Firriolo, and I'll be the point of contact for all TGZ inquiries/suggestions, etc. Post them in this Forum for fastest results. I don't have all the answers, but I'll do my best to respond to inquiries and point you in the right direction.

All this talk of apropos is making me nervous.
Lace, don't be a stranger.

Dean, I rather doubt your post is "appropos of nothing in particular". My money is on the sensibilities of the group, and that they will amuse themselves for a while, then stop responding to the trivial, the self-important, the boring.
You're right there. It's the proverbial brick wall...

Ed

P.S. Is is pronounced Lace as in Ace or as in Lay-see?
Some afflictions will disappear on their own. Others require surgical removal. Have the biopsy results come back yet?

It's Lace as in Ace. Formerly lacepanties. Obviously "laissez", as in laissez faire (noninterference in the affairs of others), is not appropriate, eh?

Lace, don't be a stranger.
Thanks, Tim. No stranger than normal. Just too busy to be an obnoxious presence here. I've even had to drop out of the vacation-a-month club! Which brings me to this: Do you have any plans to get to TR before the move to Oregon? I have a trip scheduled in November.
No, I won't be making it back to Mountain Home. I had seriously considered it, but I am in the process of moving from the eastern side of NC to the western side. With houses to sell & buy and a move this July, everything has been pretty much put on hold, until things settle out. The only thing I've got pending is the NTI, and I scheduled that before I accepted the new job. I would have loved to take an Urban Rifle @ TR.
Daniel, the biopsy results are back, and the results are not good. However, I think the course of action at this time is to ignore the symptoms as best we can.

In this particular case, the cure is swift, certain, and immediate, once we make the decision to operate.

Oh jees, I won't even ask!

At this point I've moved on from annoyance and anger. It is so absurd as to be humerous... for the time being at least.

I come looking for cigar advice and find guns. God loves me.

Hi boys. I'm a shooter too! Mostly IDPA and combat rifle. :D
I must compliment you on your navigational skills… you certainly didn't do it with a GPS, so you must've hit the news of Neal, come into this thread, then smelled the Hoppe's and backed out into TGZ like Alice through the looking glass.

Welcome… you ain't gonna believe that awaits you when you get a full view of the entirety of the AmBack Forums here… "stogies" and TGZ are but a small portion of the joint.

I think I might hang out a while :D

Queries/Articles

I was wondering how one would go about submitting an article. I have several that I have been working on, and it has taken me about three years to finally get published anywhere (I have an upcoming article in Backwoodsman Magazine). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi !

I just joined the forum and wanted to say "Hi !" to everyone and express my appreciation for THE GUN ZONE website which I have learned a lot from and thoroughly enjoyed. :D
Recently joined in . . . interesting and informative. Nice to be able to interface with the caliber of people I see here. Curiousity Question: I have been reading GUNS and Amer. Hndgnnr for many years, and more recently Charlie Petty seems to have almost disappeared from their pages (with no explanation). I was glad to see him here (Hi Charlie). Maybe it's none of my business, but I was just curious if you just moved on to other things or if there were some other reason why you have left? or scaled back? (have you left? or scaled back?). Always enjoyed your writing style and perspective.

Mr. Petty can of course address that more directly if he wishes, but, our friend Mr. Grennell having left this vale of tears several years ago, CeePee is the undisputed Dean of American Gun Writers and I greatly value what is now entering its 16th year of on-line association with the Southern Gentleman.

I think we both appreciate the direct interaction with readers and others in the firearms community, all without the interference of Editors and Publishers. (Mine tended to edit stuff out to avoid problems with advertisers; his at one point actually liked to add material which often caused problems with advertisers.)
thanks, Dean. But is he is, or is he ain't still with the enterprise?
