Standing at the checkout in the neighborhood grocery, the young girl before me has 21$ of baby food she can't afford. Why wouldn't she put back everything other than the baby food? I told the cashier to charge me for the baby food. Merry X-Mas infant, but you need a better Mother! JMHO.

Some people need a better set of priorities. Maybe the fact she has a baby is because she DOESN'T have priorities ......

They have a lot of breakfast and lunch programs here for kids, in school and also during the summer. I'm glad the kids are eating but for gods sake if you can't feed them don't have them. I'll bet most of their parents have smart phones and can pay the monthly fee for that.

Is there a fee for connecting an X-Box to the internet? or do they come standard with that?

Today at the local Orange Box I witnessed a 20 something girl get busted. She stole a can of keyboard air dust and snorted it outside the X-mas Tree Tent. The County Sheriff picked her up laying on an Orange flat cart beside the tree tent. What's got into folk??????

A big part of the problem is that too many parents just don't do the job anymore.

To raise a kid you have to pay attention and that's a full time job that you have to fit work and everything else around.
The kids just don't have the common sense inculcated by their parents and the attending discipline to understand that you probably shouldn't have had a baby, and that you have to think of it first now that you do have one.

Much of this you can lay at the feet of schools where the kids have no idea what America is, or what adults are supposed to do, but can talk for hours about the environment and LGBTQ-LSMFT*** issues.
Single parent homes don't help either.

It seems that every younger person I know that was raised in a two parent home with a strong dad and mom is doing very well.
Seems virtually every young person I know from a single parent, usually mom home is verging on being a bum and is going no where.

Too many young people have their noses buried in an iPhone and see nothing odd in posting their most intimate lives online for every one to see.
No kid seems to have a hobby, an active sport, and any interest in seeing the outdoors and what's going on around them.

It just seems the kids just never got the message about life and how to succeed and how not to fail.
Under the increasing influence of the hard Left in every possible aspect of life, the kids are being converted into the Left's beloved mindless dependent followers.

****Any of you over a certain age will know what LSMFT means.

dfariswheel I got tossed off for to lenghtly a response.

I'm a career Navy Vet, with 1 Wife and 3 Daughters, yet all of my children abide by my doctrine. From my Great Grandparents before me, to the last of my lineage after me, no child shall ever go to bed hungry.

I may not have been allowed to protect thier Mothers, (orders are orders) BUT ON MY WATCH, no child has ever gone hungry. (Although I might have exterminated a few folks during RESTORE HOPE) but innocent children are to be feed at all costs. JMHO.

How many here grew up during WWII?

Kids from that era were in single parent homes.

I don't believe that ended during WWII. Even those serving today have lengthy separations/deployments. My Grandchildren have lived more with me than with their father due to his deployments & unaccompanied orders overseas.

Perhaps dfariswheel"s point would be more reflective of single parent broken homes without any assistance from extended family? especially single parent latchkey children that have far to much unsupervised time on thier hands.
