I'm just putting the finishing touches on an in-wall component cabinet for the Gyro Cave, and figured I'd better dig out some of those little pins that support the shelves. Surely I have enough...

Well, no. Seems my stash of shelf pins is seriously lacking. In looking around the shop for a substitute, however, my eye caught the can of junk brass and...Eureka!...perfect fit.

(By the way, I wouldn't usually have any rimfire brass laying around, but while I was doing the electrical work I needed some brass crimps for the ground wires and realized they look a lot like beheaded .22 cases. Worked like a charm.)

That Doesn't Mean...

Not bad... but who has .22 ammo to make brass with... ?
...that the brass may not still be lying out on ranges.

Shifting gears, I recall that years ago, a company called Corbin advertised a system with which fired .22 LR cases could be swaged over lead cores to make .22 centerfire bullets. Anyone ever try it?
