b. Yes you can... you just won't! But if memory serves me right you were caught incorrectly spelling a common word, were called on it, and hence the start of Speir Spelling Day and the reason I put in the reminder... but, of course I screwed the pooch (as usual when it comes to things dealing with spelling) and didn't put in an explination on the reminder.
